How the Art for Orphans Project will work:

The Paintings: I will paint and sell a work of art each day from Nov. 1 to Nov. 21, 2014. The 21 paintings will all be originals in oil and will be on gallery-wrapped canvasses that are ready to hang. Most will be large works (18″ x 24″ and up) valued at $200 and above.

How to Bid: Viewers of this Blog (and my Facebook page) will have one day to bid on each painting. At the end of each day (from Nov. 1 – 21), the painting will sell to the highest bidder. To bid, simply enter your bid in the comment box on the day it is posted on this Blog or on Facebook.

Fundraiser: 100% of the sale price of each painting will go to Mei Chen’s new family – Bill & Kelly Schultz. I am covering all expenses ($500 for supplies and my painting time), but I ask that buyers cover the delivery/shipping costs for their paintings.

Tax Receipts: Tax receipts will be issued. All buyers will make their payment online to Registered USA Charity, Reece’s Rainbow. Reece’s Rainbow will issue a tax receipt and forward the money to the Schultz family.

When to Bid: The paintings will be numbered #1 to #21. Painting #1 (view below) will be sold on Nov. 1 (highest bid online at midnight will get it). Painting #2 will be sold on Nov. 2, painting #3 on Nov. 3, etc. The final painting, Painting #21, will be sold on Nov. 21.

Art Show Sunday, Oct. 26 (4 p.m. – 6 p.m.): I will be holding an Art for Orphans Show at Sisters’ Bistro. You can view some of the paintings that will be for sale and you can place an advanced bid in person. There will be several EXTRA PAINTINGS for sale ($20 – $50 each) and some fun draws, food and activities. Stay for supper (6 p.m.) and the Home Routes Concert (7:30 p.m.).
